Was messing about with custom brushes in PS CS4.

It's supposed to be the Palace of the Prophets from the Sword of Truth series of books.

I may go back and work a bit more on the figures later, but I'm not sure yet :P

This is really, really cool looking. I am really impressed with the way the light is reflecting off the stone of the entrance. Though I have to say, I think I'm with the person who said it looks more like the Temple of the Winds entrance. It just looks sort of ethereal, the colors and the way the castle just seems to melt into the light and the background. And the path is slightly frightening looking, as if something from a dream. And the two figures standing there in the hooded robes - honestly, I think they could pass for some of the spirits in the spirit world.

Whats really funny is when I started it I was shooting for Ageden Reach! But I thought it was going more towards Palace of the prophets so I changed gears. I didnt even think of Temple of the Winds! doh!

I could see the palace itself as Agaden Reach, but not really the path going up to it... just seems so ominous, and I remember the area around the Shota's place as being really beautiful with all the trees and stuff, unless that's just the silly mental image i cooked up. Not to say this isn't beautiful, but its more barren with no trees or anything.

yea the path came out after I changed gears.

I have a bad habit of not going back into the books for a description before I start painting. I just try to paint what I think I remember, and Im usually off...alot :)

Oh my. This is stunning. I love it.

Although i do slightly agree with ~singrequiem it makes me think of the Temple of the Winds.

I love this! This exit out darkness to arrive at the base of the palace is really impressive and beautiful.
